The Palmerston North Regional Education Centre is the central hub, serving the Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Primary community to the East from Dannevirke to Carterton, to the South as far as Otaki, to the North including Taihape, Waiouru and Raetihi and to the West encompassing Whanganui and Taranaki districts.

Mana whenua of our center are Rangitāne and we also have a strong connection with Ngāti Kauwhata.

Our team is available to assist tauira with applications, enrolment, studies and everything in between throughout their student journey.

Tauira are welcome to attend:

  • Study sessions in Whanganui and New Plymouth.
  • Scheduled drop-in sessions
  • Group study sessions
  • Regional Education Centre events e.g. Pasifika fono, Matariki celebration, Orientation dates. Keep an eye on Te Rito Maioha’s Facebook for key information.
  • Professional learning development events designed for local kaiako (ECE and Primary).

We have an open-door policy, encouraging our students to use the teaching space for study.
