Award

Through this, Randstad would like to gift one third-year student graduating in 2024 a $1,000 Prezzy Card and a plaque to recognise and acknowledge their exemplary practice in the following area:

  • Making a difference; Te puawaitanga o te tangata Making a positive difference in the lives of the students, staff and the communities we serve. Brings energy, intellect, courage to difficult issues, whilst also inspiring and motivating others.

Criteria

Individuals who consistently demonstrate all the following values and behaviours:

  1. Honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi; E matua whakapono ana Tatou ki Te Tiriti
    • Embeds and strengthens te reo me ona tikanga Māori into their teaching practice.
    • Te reo Māori and tikanga Māori are integral to their work.

  2. Including Everyone; Whakawhanaungatanga

    • Actively participates
    • Communicates honesty, assertively and respectfully
    • Listens to viewpoints of others
    • Invites and gives constructive feedback
    • Shows insight into how others experience them and can moderate behaviour.

  3. Being Accountable; Kia taea te hāpai i ngā kaupapa katoa ahakoa te aha

    • Plans, does and reviews work to the best of their ability
    • Provides timely information – meets all deadlines
    • Behaves professionally
    • Abides by all policies and procedures
    • Carries out commitments on time and to a high standard

  4. Caring and Connecting; Manaakitanga

    • Acknowledges the importance of everyone’s wairua
    • Maintains good work/life balance
    • Expresses tautoko and manaakitanga in the way they offer support and takes the time to affirm the health and wellbeing of others.
    • Understands the importance of whanaungatanga and takes time to build connections.

  5. Innovating; Whakahihiko hinengaro

    • Takes initiative
    • Open to other’s ideas
    • Actively contributes
    • Actively seeks and shares new knowledge

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award you must:

  • be a third-year student graduating in 2024

  • have met all course requirements

  • consistently demonstrate all the values and behaviours

Nominations must be submitted by Friday 13 December 2024 by emailing it to members@ecnz.ac.nz

Nominations will be reviewed by 31 January 2025 Recipients will be advised via email by 14 February 2025
