Come and join Te Riini and Deanna, Curriculum leads ECE, with MoE to explore laying the groundwork for learning and how this links to Te Whāriki principles, inclusion and nurturing identity, language and culture.

Kaiako strengthening children’s interest and knowledge to use maths.

‘Kia tuwhera tatou te kuaha o te pāngarau - Together we open the door to the world of maths’.

This session will provide information, ideas and resources to help support ECE teachers in their knowledge and understanding of Kōwhiti Whakapae with focus on the Oral Language and Literacy section of this site.

There will be a break at 6.15 and a light supper will be provided.

Debbie Woolston is a Pūkenga Matua – Senior Lecturer at Te Rito Maioha – Early Childhood New Zealand. Debbie’s early childhood career spans nearly 40 years in the kindergarten sector in both teacher/head teacher roles and now with Te Rito Maioha ECNZ.
