This workshop will explore how Kaiako can strengthen children’s growing social and emotional competence, engagement and learning

Mā te whiritaha, ka whakatutuki a ngā pūmanawa ā tangata - Together weaving the realisation of potential

This session will provide information, ideas and resources to help support ECE teachers in their knowledge and understanding of Kōwhit Whakapae with a focus on social and emotional competence.

There will be a break at 6.15pm and a light supper will be provided. Please RSVP by 26th October 2026 and let us know of any dietary requirements.

Debbie Woolston is a Pūkenga Matua – Senior Lecturer at Te Rito Maioha – Early Childhood New Zealand. Debbie’s early childhood career spans nearly 40 years in the kindergarten sector in both teacher/head teacher roles and now with Te Rito Maioha ECNZ.
