This course takes you through the events prior to the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the signing, what has happened since and what this means for those working in education today. In addition there are optional sections for those who want to delve deeper into some aspects surrounding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

has years of experience teaching in a range of early learning services
and providing professional learning to Kaiako. This includes being part
of the nationwide roll out of the revised Te Whāriki in 2017/18.
Pauline has delivered a number of SELO programmes and brings to all her
work knowledge of te reo me tikanga Māori.

Raewyn's teaching career includes teaching tamariki from 3 months to 6
years, owning, managing and teaching in her own centres, lecturing at
the tertiary level, developing and facilitating a wide range of
professional learning opportunities for teachers throughout New
Zealand. She has a passion for the provision of high quality care and
education for infants and toddlers and is currently lecturing in Te Rito
Maioha’s new post-graduate Infant & Toddler programme.
