An Introduction to Te Whāriki ‘re-sparks passion’
Feedback from participants during the first week of An Introduction to Te Whāriki has been overwhelmingly positive.
‘One person said that it had ’re-sparked her passion’ while another one said ’ka taka te kapa – the penny has dropped,’ says Pouhere Kaupapa Māori, Arapera Card.
Arapera is co-presenting the professional learning and development (PLD) with Council President, Lesley Rameka.
Arapera says it was lovely to have kicked off the PLD in Whakatū (Nelson) with a group of wonderful leaders and practitioners committed to understanding the hōhonutanga o Te Whāriki.
‘Participation throughout the day was wonderful and it was great to have had such great engagement with the games, waiata, group activities. It was a big day for everyone and I am sure that everyone went home with more treasures for their kete matauranga.’
