This 360-credit Level 7 degree is for people wanting to gain or add to their knowledge and skills in the field of education, with a focus on early childhood education, in order to advance their career or as a pathway to further study.
Career options following completion of our Bachelor of Education (ECE) are wide-ranging and include ECE centre manager, child advocate, policy analyst, community strategic planner, migrant and refugee support person and social or youth worker.
The programme will also provide a pathway for international students wanting to learn about New Zealand’s world-leading education sector and gain an internationally recognised qualification.
The programme may provide a direct pathway into Te Rito Maioha’s specialist ECE graduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Bachelor of Education (ECE) is a 3-year full-time degree. It is taught entirely online and has no block courses or work requirements.
The programme comprises 22 courses. You will need to set aside approximately 35 hours a week for study.
