John has a wealth of experience in leadership, financial management, strategy development and implementation.

As a Chartered Accountant and a registered mentor with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, John has a wealth of experience in leadership, financial management, strategy development and implementation. Having worked for Bearing Point, Exxon Mobil and Te Ohu Kaimoana, The Maori Fisheries Trust, he has a unique blend of international business experience, combined with experience in one of the most Aotearoa focussed organisations to have been created in New Zealand. 

John has represented Te Rito Maioha on the board of NZAPEP, on NZQA’s advisory group for the standardisation of qualifications with Malaysia, along with a number of other sector advisory groups. He is committed to quality in the ECE sector of Aotearoa and is dedicated to ensuring Te Rito Maioha has a strong voice in advocating for quality for all tamariki and their whānau.
