Accountant – National Office, Wellington Central

About the Job:

Provide end-to-end payroll processing, analysis and reporting to the business. 
Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly accounts (to trial balance level).
Preparing general journals, month end accruals. 
Identifying opportunities for integrated and seamless continuous improvement and mitigation of risks relating to Te Rito Maioha’s financial administrative and payroll systems and processes. 
Preparing balance sheet and subsidiary ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis, including month-end bank reconciliations. 
Preparing and filing GST, PAYE and other taxation returns as required. 
Assisting the Finance team in ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place and operating consistently. 
Works alongside Accounts Officers, providing support, mentoring, oversight and upskilling when needed. 
Respond efficiently and effectively to all internal and external customers.  

 

 

 

Lecturer | Kaiako / Senior Lecturer - Christchurch

About the job:

As Lecturer, you will be working towards, or have, a masters in a discipline that is related to the ECE sector and have recent ECE sector curriculum experience. 

As Senior Lecturer, you will have a master's or PhD in a relevant field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, have recent EC sector curriculum experience and it would be desirable to have demonstrated research experience with publication in kaupapa relevant to this role. 

You will have: 

• Experience or strong interest in teaching and mentoring adults at a tertiary level, particularly Student Teachers  
• Full teacher certification and practising certificate essential  
• Recent ECE experience 
• Experience teaching in a blended and online learning environment is desirable  
• Knowledge in te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori is desirable, but support is given to develop in this area  
• A commitment to growing bicultural practice and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi 
• A master's degree in education or relevant discipline, or engagement in post-graduate education study  
• A current full drivers’ licence and vehicle for work use
