This course has been designed to provide both kaiako and centre leaders and managers with an understanding about bullying and harassment in the workplace, the type of behaviour that should be avoided and what you can do if bullying or harassment is occurring in your workplace.

This PLD is suitable for early childhood education and care professionals at all stages of their careers. 

This course will provide an understanding of:  

  • the effects of bullying and harassment in the workplace 
  • the types of behaviour that are considered bullying and harassment 
  • how to identify bullying and harassment 
  • your responsibilities, and 
  • what to do if you or your co-workers are being bullied or harassed

Catherine’s regulatory knowledge comes from her previous work at the Ministry of Education where she was in various roles involving ECE legislation, regulation and guidance. She gained governance experience during her time as the chair of her local Plunket committee and at Playcentre where she was a member of the Wellington Playcentre Association executive team. She continues to be involved in the governance of community sporting bodies.
